Terms of Service
Effective April 28, 2026.
Welcome to tadoy. These Terms govern your use of our app, website, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
tadoy is a daily page. The Service includes daily readings, journaling, mood and somatic check-ins, habit and goal tracking, and optional self-knowledge tools (astrology, human design, numerology, gene keys, I Ching). Features may change as the Service evolves.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
Some features require an account. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity on your account. You can delete your account from the app's settings at any time.
4. Reflective, not advisory
The Service is reflective in nature. It is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice. Astrological, human design, numerological, gene keys, and I Ching content is provided as a contemplative aid, not a forecast or prediction. Body, somatic, and cycle features are for personal reflection — they don't diagnose or treat any condition. Always consult a qualified professional for advice about your health, finances, or wellbeing.
5. AI-generated content
The Service uses third-party AI models to generate certain content, including the Ask chat, the daily Outlook, the Heal body reflection, the optional evening review, and parts of the daily reading. AI output can be inaccurate, biased, or unexpected. Treat AI replies as reflective prompts to consider, not as authoritative answers. You can report any AI reply from within the app, and we may modify or remove generated content at our discretion.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- Add information about other people without their consent (the Us / Circle features depend on this).
- Submit content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or that infringes others' rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Use the Service to develop a competing product, scrape it at scale, or build derivative datasets.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
7. Your content
Anything you write in the Service — journal, mood notes, somatic notes, habit content — remains yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the Service for you (for example, storing your inputs locally on your device, or temporarily processing the messages you send through the Ask feature). We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use your private content to train any AI model.
8. Subscriptions and payments
tadoy is a paid app. You get an unrestricted free week when you first install the app, followed by a 7-day Apple-managed trial, after which the subscription is $9.99/month or $59.99/year. One subscription unlocks every module — there are no tiered features or paid add-ons. Prices may vary by region; the current price, trial length, and renewal terms are shown in-app and on the App Store before you subscribe.
Payments, renewals, refunds, and cancellations are processed by Apple via the App Store, subject to Apple's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your Apple ID's Subscriptions screen at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
If your trial ends without an active subscription, the app moves to a read-only mode: your existing data remains visible, but new entries and AI features are paused until you subscribe.
9. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties (Apple, AWS, OpenAI, Expo). Their respective terms may also apply, particularly for App Store distribution and AI model usage.
10. Intellectual property
The Service — including its design, the paper visual system, the editorial copy, and the underlying software — is owned by tadoy and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY CONTENT — INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT — WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TADOY AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR US$50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
13. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
14. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction. If you live outside the US, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country may also apply.
