A daily affirmations app that isn't AI sludge

tadoy's affirmations are editorial — hand-written lines, curated, not generated by a model. Up to five a day, each at a time you choose, biased toward your energy, mood and natal chart so the line tends to land. Read it, say it, say it to a mirror, or write it out. It lives on the Mind page, on your device.

What's in the affirmations module

  • Curated library — every line is written and edited, never AI-generated.
  • Up to five slots a day — each with its own time, theme and delivery mode.
  • Four ways to take it — read silently, say aloud, say to a mirror, or write it out.
  • Context-aware picking — biased by your energy, mood and natal chart, deterministic so it doesn't repeat.
  • Themes — Clarity, Softness, Courage, Boundaries, Creativity, Rest.
  • Focus for 30 days — pin one to three themes and the picker leans that way.
  • Your own words — override any slot with a line you write yourself.
  • Quiet notifications — opt-in per slot; the card stays blurred until its time.

Curated, not generated

Most affirmation apps now run a language model — type a mood, get a freshly minted sentence that sounds plausible and means nothing, because nobody decided it was worth saying. tadoy takes the other position: a fixed library written on purpose, scored against your energy, the mood you logged and your natal chart so a tender morning surfaces a different line than a restless one. The intelligence is in the picking, not the writing — and the card sits on the Mind page next to the journal, mood and meditation that shape it, not in a separate app.

How tadoy compares to other affirmation apps

Each of these does something tadoy doesn't and isn't trying to.

  • "I am" / ThinkUp — affirmation-only apps built around frequent notifications and, increasingly, generated lines. tadoy isn't competing with that.
  • Gratitude-style suites — broad self-care apps that bundle affirmations with vision boards and upsells. tadoy isn't competing with that.
  • An AI chatbot — endless affirmations on demand; the point of tadoy's is that a person decided each one was worth saying.

Privacy

Your themes, your focus and the lines you write yourself live on your device — not synced to tadoy's servers, not used to train any model. The same on-device posture as journal, mood, body and habits. Full detail on the privacy page.

Common questions about affirmations

Are they AI-generated?
No. Every line is hand-written and curated. The app picks from a fixed library — it doesn't generate.
How many a day?
Up to five slots, each with its own time, theme and delivery mode (read, say, mirror, write).
Can I pick the topic?
Yes — per-slot themes, or pin one to three for 30 days. Or write your own permanent line.
Does it work offline?
Yes, fully. The library is on the device; nothing is sent to a server.
