A meditation app with no content library

tadoy's meditation is three plain things — a silent timer, a guided breath pacer, and a body scan. No narrated courses, no celebrity voices, no sleep stories, no catalog to get lost in. It writes mindful minutes to Apple Health and lives on the Mind page, on your device.

tadoy's meditation screen — pick a duration for a silent timer, breath pacer or body scan, with a short reflection to close.
A silent timer, a breath pacer, a body scan.

What's in the meditation module

  • Sit — a silent timer from 1 to 60 minutes, wall-clock accurate even if the screen sleeps; end early any time.
  • Breath — Box (4-4-4-4), 4-7-8 and Coherent (5-5), for 4, 8 or 12 rounds, with a circle that paces the phase.
  • Scan — a body scan through seven zones, 30 to 120 seconds each, with a silhouette tracking where you are.
  • Reflection — tap how it left you and add an optional note, by text or voice.
  • Apple Health — every session writes Mindful Minutes for the time you actually practised.
  • Daily card — the day's last few sessions, with their length and how they felt.

Structure, not content

The big meditation apps are content businesses — thousands of narrated sessions, sleep stories, named teachers, a catalog you browse. tadoy deliberately doesn't compete on that, because the bet is that most days you don't need someone talking — you need an honest timer, a breath to follow, or a route through the body. It sits on the Mind page beside the journal, mood and affirmations, and the Soul page reaches for it too, so a short sit reads differently next to a frayed mood and four hours of sleep on the same page.

How tadoy compares to other meditation apps

Each of these does something tadoy doesn't and isn't trying to.

  • Calm / Headspace — polished content libraries with narrated courses and sleep stories. tadoy has none of that on purpose.
  • Insight Timer — a marketplace of hundreds of thousands of sessions from independent teachers. tadoy is intentionally minimal, not a library.
  • Apple's built-in Mindfulness — good and free; tadoy writes to the same Health place and adds the scan, the patterns and a reflection.

Privacy

Sessions, reflections and any note you add (the only thing that leaves is the Mindful Minutes written to Apple Health, which stays in your Health data) live on your device — not synced to tadoy's servers, not used to train any model. The same on-device posture as journal, mood, body and habits. Full detail on the privacy page.
