A couples app that doesn't put your relationship on a server
tadoy's Us card gives you and your partner one prompt a day — something to ask, or something to do. No accounts to link, no pair code, no shared space. If you both have tadoy you see the same prompt the same day, without anything passing between the phones. It's a nudge to talk, not a chat app.
What's in the Us module
- One prompt a day — alternating between a question to ask and a thing to do together.
- Curated, hand-written — a fixed library, not generated, and it won't repeat for about two weeks.
- No account linking — add your partner as a person; no codes, no sign-in, no connection step.
- Same prompt, independently — chosen deterministically so both apps land on it without syncing.
- A quiet card — their name, their initials, a zodiac badge if you've added a birthday.
- Read-only — no history, no streak, no relationship score.
Nothing about the two of you leaves the phone
Couples apps usually link two accounts and sync your answers, quizzes and check-ins through a server — so the most intimate data you have lives in someone's database. tadoy refuses that design: you add your partner as a person on your own device, the day's prompt is derived from the partner and the date, and if they also use tadoy they reach the same prompt on their own phone with no message, sync or shared record anywhere. It sits on the daily page next to your journal, mood and habits — alternating a question to ask with a thing to do, read-only because the conversation is meant to happen off the screen.
How tadoy compares to other couples apps
Each of these does something tadoy doesn't and isn't trying to.
- Paired / Lasting — account-linked, server-synced relationship programs with quizzes and courses. tadoy isn't competing with that.
- A shared notes or chat app — a running thread between you. tadoy deliberately keeps no record at all.
- Couples-astrology apps — a compatibility or synastry feed. tadoy's Us is editorial prompts with at most a light zodiac touch.
Privacy
Your partner's name, their birthday if you add one, and the fact you're partnered — never sent to their phone, with no server-side record because there is no server step live on your device — not synced to tadoy's servers, not used to train any model. The same on-device posture as journal, mood, body and habits. Full detail on the privacy page.
